I'm building a snake rack and don't know whether to use 3" flextape or Zoo Med's heat cable. Any suggestions?
The snake rack will house ball pythons. I'll, in fact, have snake racks that house various tub sizes. Also, is fextape safe when in direct contact with wood? Thank you.
Save yourself a lot of trouble and get the flex watt heat tape. Just make sure you hook it up to a rheostat to keep the temps under control.
The heat cable burns out. I was using heat cable on hatchlings and they all stopped feeding. Found out the cable had stopped working. I did some research and have found many people have had the same problem.
